The Department of Psychology and Delta Center at the University of Iowa are seeking an Associate Research Scientist to coordinate the newly opened CHild Imaging Laboratory in Developmental Science (CHILDS ). CHILDS is equipped with a 24-channel Near-infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) system from TechEn, Inc., as well as multiple supportive technologies including two eye-tracking systems, stereo touch-screen display, and motion-tracking systems. The Research Scientist will also work on several projects involving simultaneous fNIRS and fMRI using the Siemens Trio 3T scanner at the Magnetic Resonance Research Facility at the University of Iowa. Associate Research Scientist wanted to perform research on typical and atypical populations to study the early development of cognitive abilities using functional neuroimaging. Work to develop new theories and methodologies to assess early cognitive function with complete responsibility for all aspects of the research project.
