Project Description
Objective
- Review data from recent AMIGO neurosurgery case (MR, US)
- Identify and evaluate sources of error
- Review options for improving overall imaging accuracy
Approach, Plan
- Alireza to collect all MR and US data for this case
- Manual and automated registration tools to be used for review
- Brainstorming about how to either fix the current system or circumvent Brainlab so that all pieces of the system can be debugged
Progress
- Held a breakout session to evaluate data from several cases
- Reviewed extent and possible causes of mis-registrations
- Evaluated possible solutions
- Alireza to make anonymized datasets available in public repository with descriptions of the various datasets
- Alireza to work with Rahul to integrate improved reconstruction code with PLUS for use in AMIGO
- Steve to work on benchtop system to emulate neurosurgical setup (with Jim and with help from Andras and Tamas)
- Goal to develop best practices and protocols for US volume acquisition for use in AMIGO
- Matt and Sandy to take example data and attempt feature-based US to US registration
- Sandy and Steve to explore mechanics-based interpolation
