 The main goal of the event was to share hands-on expertise between NCIGT and collaborators. The event was setup to maximize informal interaction between participants.
-Active preparation began several weeks prior to the meeting with several group and individual email and telephone exchanges with potential participants. The event itself started with a short presentation by each project team, driven using their previously created description, and allowed all participants to be acquainted with others who are doing similar work. In the rest of the week, most of the time was spent in project teams, doing hands-on programming, algorithm design, or technology brainstorming.  The hands-on activities were done in 11 small teams of size 3-5, each with a mix of experts in IGT.  To facilitate this work, several rooms were setup with internet and power access, navigation demonstrations were setup, and time was booked on MR scanners at the Brigham, to allow each time to work on their projects. On the last day of the event, a closing presentation session is held in which each project team presents a summary of what they accomplished during the week.
