Update from Wiki

New page

Agenda:

* Topic for Sept 8th tcon: present programming week highlights to Core3 PIs (Martha Shenton-Harvard, Andy Saykin-Dartmouth, Jim Fallon -UCI) (Tina)
* Sept 26-27-28 meeting in Boston to (a) get demos of how core 3 is using the NAMIC kit and (b) milestone planning for next 6 months. (Tina)
* Logistics for Sept mtg room at 1249 (Steve)
* Update on recent Slicer activity (Steve)
* Tracking downloads
* Setting up a test LONI pipeline with ITK module
* ITK 2.2 release

Attendees: (please add your name if it is missing) Tina Kapur, Steve Pieper, Jeffrey Grethe, Michael Pan, Jags, Will Schroeder, Andy Cedilnik, Luis Ibanez,

Highlights:

* Tracking downloads
** Steve Pieper - is there a way to collect more complete registration information from people downloading and installing software (e.g. Slicer) involved in NAMIC. For example, using a user's email to download contributed data and tools.
*** This service needs to be outside of the Wiki
*** Should be failry easy to setup

* September 8th
** Core 3 PIs have agreed to attend the engineering T-CON
** Need to determine how to cover highlights of the programming week

* Sept 26-28 meeting
** Primary topic will probably be DTI module and diffusion MR
** UCI & Dartmouth working with DTI module for a current on-going study

* Update on Slicer activity
** A lot of current work on DTI and fMRI modules
** Need to think through co-development efforts in maintaining the 2.x Slicer and developments on top of this platform while moving to Slicer 3.0

* Logistics on September Meeting Room
** Room (1249 Boylston) reserved for the meeting

* Setting up a test pipeline with ITK module
** Steve Pieper suggested using the example from the Wiki
** Michael agreed that this would be a good case
** One issue raised was problems with ITK on Windows
*** Issue with path delimiters in running ITK module through LONI pipeline on Windows
*** Could it be a problem with the compiler (e.g.Cygwin vs. Visual Studio)
*** Discussion should be continued off-line
** While Windows issues are being worked out - the UCLA group should setup the ITK Pipeline using Linux

* ITK 2.2 release is next week!
