Update on Phase 3 mi2b2 software
- Get BWH installed, found out several problems:
- CFIND on MRN brings back multiple patients. Same patient is repeated sometimes a 100 times. Chris and Bill are digging it. A possibility is that those patients had a lot of images and we see them all. It seems that the GE PACS answers differently from the PACS at MGH
- If one select a patient and move it, one does not received an accession number
- Not getting images back on the CMOVE, getting a code error. They downloaded DCM4che tools, worked fine, CMOVE was OK so there is something on our side that must be changed.
- Tim from XNAT team sent some codes (for phase 4). Next version of XNAT: 1.5, release scheduled for December.
- BIDMC update: Randy talked to Steve Freedman about mi2b2. He offered to try to help Jesse and made suggestions on who to contact.
- Coordination with Dan Rubin, he set up an i2b2 instance, he wants to work together on ontology to do images annotations.
Potential clinical applications
- Talked about valuable medical applications for mi2b2. Steve talked about new study: studying long term side-effects of proton therapy (for neck cancer) because those follow-up CAT scans will be in the Radiology. Radiation oncology is interested in that follow-up.
From RPDR query to the retrieval of images in PACS
- Vincent and Randy presented a work they are doing on baby brain. They have a huge access database about subjects with brain scan (diffusion and T1 weighted images), doe at MGH after 2000. Goal: to build an atlas. It will help us guide people to do an efficient query.
