2010 Summer Project Week Implementing Open IGT Link to Virtual Place for research support

Objective

Our objective is to add Open IGT Link support into AZE Virtual Place(VP) for research support. We would like to enable users to do image processing outsite VP and visualization with VP.

Approach, Plan

Our approach is to develop Open IGT Link plugin in Virtual Place similar to Open IGT Link module in Slicer3. We would like to add MATLAB connectivity through Open IGT Link.

Progress

Prototype plug-in that acts as Open IGT Link server has been developed. MATLAB code that acts as Open IGT Link client has also been developed. We will focus on performance and stability during this Project Week.
