Objective

We have developed a Slicer3-based workflow for review of multiparametric MRI of the prostate and planning of the locations to be biopsied during MRI-guided intervention. This workflow has been in use by our group for 30+ clinical research cases. Since Slicer4 offers improved performance, stability, GUI capabilities and support, we are in the process of switching to Slicer4-based workflow.

We would like to develop a customized Slicer4-based module for mpMRI review and target planning that can ideally be operated by a trained clinical researcher, without involvement of a Slicer expert.

Approach, Plan

  • Mock-up designs of the module will be discussed and potentially prototyped with the focus on simplicity and improving experience of the clinical users.
  • The use of AIM for storing the biopsy planning report will be considered.

Progress

Delivery Mechanism

This work will be delivered to the NA-MIC Kit as a Slicer4 loadable module.
