Objective

The current state-of-the-art for transcranial focused ultrasound surgery (TCFUS) requires the use of a pre-procedurally obtained CT scan of the skull. We have proposed a method for replacing this requirement by using a specialized ultrasound-based technique to obtain parameters to be used for aberration correction. The analysis of this method could benefit from some potential capabilities of 3DSlicer.

Approach, Plan

Our approach will begin with exploring the segmentation of skull bone from existing CT scans.
