mi2b2 software update

  • mi2b2 Version 5 development MRN validation for auditing is nearly complete.
  • Purchase of the BWH mi2b2 server is not yet authorized because MGH Research Computing is still working out disk space management (SAN) costs for the Needham facility.
  • Dave work on the encryption phase for Tab 3 is complete and in the testing phase. Then comes his work on Tab 4 to add this capability.

"mi2b2 Enabled Pediatric Neuroradiological Decision Support"

  • Discussed the methods and personnel for the aspect of Aim 1 of the grant that requires sufficiently clear criteria for designating babies who have been imaged with MRI as normal. We need Ellen's input to find references establishing the high likelihood of there being sufficient numbers of normal babies in our archives and to write up details for the methods/criteria we will use to identify normal scans.
  • Randy presented some of the underlying concepts and ideas behind each of the aims of this grant proposal to the members of the national CTSA Imaging Steering Committee who agreed that these were worthy aims, much needed and very tough problems at their institutions. They are interested in pursuing these topics in our future national meetings by presenting on-going efforts at different institutions.
  • The team discussed what budget would be necessary for the final delivery of the mi2b2 Radiology Decision Support Workbench as it would live within the participating Departments of Radiology as an option available to the practicing radiologists.
