Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art small animal imaging services to researchers in the Longwood Medical Area of Harvard Medical School. These services include multi-modality imaging, advanced data analysis, image fusion resources, and a satellite animal facility for longitudinal studies. During design of the Longwood SAIF, we solved the logistical problems of importing animals from other institutions and have developed a streamlined system to expedite the movement of animals into the facility. The new, long-term satellite animal facility is now open.
