Tuesday, the 27th of September

Slicer hands-on tutorial to be held at the Department of Medical Physics and Medical Informatics.

At least one ~1.5 hour occasion is planned during the day, from 14:00 p.m. The rooms have 15 personal computers, Slicer will be preinstalled. If there are more than around 15-17 people interested, one more occasion can be added, in the morning hours, from 10:00 or 11:00 a.m.

The rooms have a projector, so on this occasion we will have the possibility to practice general (or more specialized if there is a need!) Slicer usage.

It is a good idea to bring a laptop if possible, since - if there are more interested than about 15 persons - we may run out of computers. In this case, Slicer should be preinstalled, see the download page at slicer.org

Wednesday, the 28th of September

Under the umbrella of the Department of Image Processing and Computer Graphics, University of Szeged. Please find the details on the locations below. Developer tools provided on classroom computers.

After about an hour introduction seminar to Slicer's programmatic background (C++, Python, VTK, ITK, CMake, programming styles, etc) from 10:30 am. to 11:30 am., participants will have the possibility to learn how to write and integrate a plug-in to 3D Slicer using python: this will be a "Hello World" tutorial for an image processing filter on volumetric data with an automatically generated user interface. This latter will take place from 14:00 pm. to 16:00 pm. Should some interest arise, more specific topics can be added. In this case please don't hesitate to contact Attila Nagy (see contact info above)
