This RFA seeks to stimulate research that will lead to new or enhanced ways for imaging the rapid neural activation that is reflected in electrophysiological signals (e.g., action potentials, local field potentials, etc.), rather than signals generated by the sluggish hemodynamic response. Of particular interest are approaches that use non-invasive optical imaging of fast signals. Approaches that require dipole source localization will be considered non-responsive to this RFA. NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Data Sharing & Intellectual Capital (DSIC) Working Group of caBIG sought feedback from the caBIG™ Community on Draft Open Source Software (OSS) Licensing Guidelines and Model License Agreement. Comments were to be sent to Dan Steinberg at [steinberg_daniel@bah.com], and were requested by May 31, 2005.

caBIG participants have provided extensive feedback on the caBIG Compatibility Guidelines. Revision 2 of the document incorporates that feedback, and is now available in draft form for additional public comment. Please send any comments you may have to ncicb@pop.nci.nih.gov. The final form of Revision 2 will be posted no later than June 2005, and at that time will become the prevailing operational guideline for the caBIG program. You can go to the caBIG Compatibility web page for the latest version of the guidelines.
