Logistics

Dates: Mon-Wed July 17-19 at NIH.

Meeting Goals

The goals of the All Hands Meeting are the following:

  • To offer an opportunity for all the Centers to learn more about each other’s scientific and technical programs, and to interact one-on-one through discussions and demonstrations;
  • To provide a forum for substantive working meetings among relevant Center personnel to discuss areas of mutual interest, including those involving software and data integration;
  • To provide an opportunity for the Centers to engage and inform the NIH community, and to build bridges to other NIH initiatives.

Preparation:

Attached, please find the draft agenda and information about the AHM in the form of FAQs.

Responses via email to Peter Lyster and Karen Skinner requested by Friday, April 21 — please respond to the following four items:

  1. Anticipated number of attendees from your Centers: Please provide an estimate of who from your Center may be attending the AHM. As a guideline, we are suggesting that you may send up to 10 representatives—refer to the relevant item in the FAQs.
  2. NCBC Working Groups: Please indicate your interests in Working Groups. Please review the list of working groups included in the FAQs. This list represents the aggregated suggestions from the NCBC PIs for Working Groups. We also have provided a brief “charter” which we encourage you to modify, if you wish. Please indicate those working groups in which your Center would like to participate, and the individuals from your Center who likely would participate in the group. If you wish to propose a new working group, please do so, along with proposed members from your Center and other NCBCs, and other major initiatives. A time has been allotted on the agenda for these working groups to meet. The FAQs offer additional information.
  3. Dissemination/demonstration/ or Other NIH IC Hosting Event:_ If you are interested in presenting a “Dissemination/Demonstration or other NIH IC Hosting Event” that will be held on Wednesday morning July 19 please respond with the title of your Center’s event. More details about this event may be found in the attached NCBC AHM FAQs. If you choose to participate in such an event, it will be the responsibility of the PO-LSO-SO team to work with your Center in arranging the event and attracting an appropriate audience and arranging an appropriate venue. For this reason we encourage you to consult with your PO-LSO-SO team.
  4. If you have suggestions for a dinner speaker please let us know.
