Project Description

Objective Approach and Plan Progress and Next Steps

The goal of this project is to create a new semi-automated tool for SlicerCIP that allows to define bronchiectasis by means of the airway to vessel ratio. If ratio > 1, then there is bronchiectasis.

  • Implement a customized Slicer editor module to select the region of interest (airway + vessel)
  • Implement a tool to compute the airway to vessel ratio
  • Use SlicerCIP template to save results
  • Customized Slicer module to measure airways and vessels by means of rulers created
  • AV ratio is computed and shown to the user
  • The SlicerCIP template is used save results and create PDF report
  • Next step: use circular rulers for better measurement
