Dr. Sonia Pujol is an Instructor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and a research scientist at the Surgical Planning Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. Her  research focuses on the development and validation of brain mapping technologies, with a focus on computer-assisted neurovascular navigation for brain aneurysm intervention and 3D exploration of  white matter architecture using Diffusion MRI.
 
  
Dr. Pujol is actively involved in the transfer of medical image analysis technology to clinicians and clinical researchers. She is the Director of Training of the National Alliance for Medical Image Computing (NA-MIC), and is part of the Outreach Core of the Neuroimage Analysis Center (NAC). Over the past seven years, Dr. Pujol has trained more than 1,500 clinicians and scientists on advanced neuroimage analysis techniques which include 3D visualization, segmentation and multi-modal image registration, at both national venues and international conferences.

She holds a M.Sc. in Physics and a M.S.Eng in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from two French 'Grandes Ecoles', the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Informatique et de Mathématiques Appliquées de Grenoble, which she integrated after completing the French preparatory classes to national competitive exams at the lycee Pierre de Fermat in Toulouse, France.
