Dr. Sonia Pujol is the Director of Training of the National Alliance for Medical Image Computing (NA-MIC). She is an Instructor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and a research scientist at the Surgical Planning Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. Pujol's research focuses on the development and validation of brain mapping technologies, with a focus on computer-assisted neurovascular navigation for brain aneurysm intervention and 3D exploration of white matter architecture using Diffusion MRI for neurosurgical planning.

Training activities

Dr. Pujol is leading the outreach effort aiming at transfering medical image analysis technology to clinicians and clinical researchers within NA-MIC and NAC. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Pujol has trained more than 3,000 clinical researchers, scientists and clinicians on advanced neuroimage analysis techniques which include 3D visualization, segmentation and multi-modal image registration, in over 80 hands-on workshops at national venues and international conferences.
