1. Consultation

  • Neil offered to be the consultant on Lisa Swartz's consultation. Simon also offered his help for future imaging time at CHB.

2. Education program

  • RSNA 2010:
    • RSNA was very happy with the 2 educations sessions we presented in Dec 09. They invited us to give a tutorial at the next meeting (Dec 2010) for the informatics session. Randy will write a proposal and send it to the group.
    • Bob and Clare suggested that we should also propose to present a refresher course on biomarkers and quantitative imaging, 90 minutes, 2 or 3 speakers. Those sessions are very well attended. Bob, Neil, Jeff, Gordon and Charles would be happy to be speakers. They will send a proposal to Randy.
  • Half-day modules:
    • Valerie did contact Lisa Horton (BWH) and Liz Salomon (MGH) to schedule days for the modules and book some rooms. At next week meeting, the group will finalize the content of the modules and designate the speakers.
  • Slicer hands-on tutorials:
    • Valerie and Stuart Wallace will be in charge of those tutorials. Valerie will schedule them at the Countway library.

3. NIH report

  • So far we did 106 consultations, it is a big improvement compare to last year when we had 9 consultations.
  • Randy asked the imaging engineers at the Martinos center to create projects in JIRA and set up the time spent on each. It will make getting output metrics easier.

Next week meeting: 1/19/10:

  • The meeting will be a face-to-face to finalize the education program. It will take place at the Countway library, on the 5th floor, in the Harvard Catalyst conference room.
  • Valerie will set up a webex session and give a JIRA refresher tutorial.
