  • Imaging-117: Dr Peter Caravan (MGH): Imaging probe translation. So far there is no core facility at Harvard that offer biodistribution and pharmacokinetics studies for IND preparation. Jeff and Annick offered to help the PI with a phase 0 study. Bob will also work on this consultation.

2. Education program

Thursday June 3 (2-5 pm), Simches 3.120 MGH (Imaging in oncology)

  • Jeff and Annick asked for the June 3 tutorial to be reschedule earlier because they both will be out of town at the ASCO meeting. Valerie will contact MGH with a new set of dates to try to find a room.
  • The neuroimaging group has already a first draft of the structure of its module: http://www.na-mic.org/Wiki/index.php/CTSC:education_Neuroscience
    • The first lecture will be a series of cutting edge examples.
    • The second lecture, life cycle of medical imaging could be used for other lectures.
    • The 4th lecture, about resources will be a short talk, 10-15 minutes. Clare suggested to also add a list on where to get IT support for the image analysis.
  • Imaging in oncology: http://www.na-mic.org/Wiki/index.php/CTSC:education_Oncology
    • Jeff and Clare updated the link. Clare will give a lecture on image-guided intervention.
    • It would be very important to have a lecture on DCE-MRI and quantitative imaging biomarkers. It is an upcoming subject and oncology is not as far ahead as neuroimaging in that domain.
    • The oncology group will have enough material to fill 4 hours.
  • Cardiology: http://www.na-mic.org/Wiki/index.php/CTSC:education_Cardiology
    • Todd asked Marcelo Di Carli (BWH) to participate as an expert on nuclear medicine and he accepted. Raymond Kwong (BWH) and Ron Blankstein (BWH) also accepted to give lectures on cardiac MR/CT.
