1. Update on imaging consultation requests

  • This week there was no new consultation request submitted through the Catalyst website.

2. New slides with consultation statistics

  • Valerie sent the members slides with the statistics about the consultation. She reminded everybody to send her their list of informal consultations. If it turns out to be more easier, she will go to the different institutions and collect the data. The numbers should be collected before the mini-retreat on June 9.
  • The goal of the consortium is to increase the number of consultations submitted through the Catalyst website. Everybody needs to educate their collaborators about the very easy way to request a consultation through the portal.
  • Another important goal is the outreach to the medical community outside Harvard, at the national level.

3. PCIR reviews

  • All the members of the consortium have been requested to review the applications for new protocols involving imaging submitted through the PCIR of the different institutions. Valerie will be the liaison, she will received all the protocols and distribute them equally between the members of the consortium.
  • Valerie will make sure that Charles Guttmann was added to the list of reviewers.

4. Marketing of consultation service

  • Valerie sent a draft of an e-mail that could be send across institution to promote the consultation service. She will ask Tom Ulrich, the communication manager of the Catalyst to edit it.

5. Imaging Informatics update

  • The first meeting of the informatics subgroup will be on Monday June 1st. Valerie is working on the details of the meeting (time, location) and will send the information to the group.
  • In the mean time, Ying continue to meet with different groups to assess their needs in term of data management and the implementation of XNAT.
    • The Dickerson's group (MGH, Martino Center) is a very good use case because they tried to implement XNAT in the past.
    • Randy secured an invitation from the Harvard IT group and the Buckner's lab to get a demonstration of their version of XNAT.
  • Yong will also be part of the Catalyst IT meetings so he can be our liaison and keep the group updated on the evolution of the various IT projects.

6. Miscellaneous

  • The group needs to come with a business plan for the long term cost-sharing of investigator support (e.g. need for additional nursing support during a study, allocation of resources for core facilities). It will be put on the agenda for the mini-retreat.
  • There is no official data yet on the number of letters of intend submitted for the pilot grants.
  • The request made to Catalyst Central to allocate some funds for pilot imaging will also be added to the agenda of the mini-retreat.
