Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes February 17, 2009

1. Consultation request submitted through Catalyst website

  • A request for consultation was submitted through the Catalyst website.
    • The request was directly forwarded to several members of the imaging consortium.
    • Two days later, Valerie sent a answer to the request including references and person to contact.
    • Valerie will assure the follow-up of this consultation.


2. IRAT/CTSA Joint Workshop March 29-31,2009 in Baltimore

  • Randy contacted Dan Sullivan regarding sending several of our members and also two additional collaborators who have particular expertise in areas relevant to the planned discussion.
    • He welcomed our proposition to have Shawn Murphy and Karl Helmer give a talk about XNAT-PACS-i2b2 integration and cross site calibration for MRI studies- structural and DTI respectively.
    • Dan and his collaborators are working on the meeting schedule and will get in touch with Randy.
  • For reimbursement for travel expenses...


2. Slides for CTSC imaging consortium presentation

  • Valerie sent two sets of slides for the members to review. One is for the Radiology Department Heads meetings and is called: Development of Harvard Catalyst Imaging Consultation Service. The second one is for the smaller meetings and is called Harvard Catalyst Imaging Consultation Service.
    • The presentations were sent to the members using the HMS secure file transfer. It will be our tool of choice to share large files in the future, everybody having easy access to that service.
    • Members are invited to look at the slides and send Valerie their feedback.
  • Simon is giving a talk at a faculty meeting at Children's at the end of February and he asked if he could get a time slot to present the imaging consultation service. If approved, he will be joined by Randy or Bruce and Valerie to present.


3. XNAT engineer position

  • Laura sent the job description to the HR department at Children's hospital and asked them to post it on their web site.
  • The consortium invited him a candidate with very good expertise and excellent recommendation for a round of interviews in Boston.
