Before we make a time table for the breakout session, I would like to itemize things we need to discuss. Feel free to put your agenda or comments.

Finalize version 2 protocol

  • Surgical Navigation
  • Matlab integration
    • There have been several requests for Matlab OpenIGTLink interface.
    • Prototype Matlab/Octave interface is available.
    • New message type to support a kind of remote procedure call??
  • Message types for other applications?

The OpenIGTLink Library loadmap

  • Features
    • Message classes

How do we organize the community?

  • Use Slicer ML or dedicated ML?

Demo session

  • BRP Prostate Robot?
  • Outcomes from AIST projects.

Hands-on session for developers?

  • Opportunity for IGT developers to consult with OpenIGTLink experts and find solutions for their project.

Schedule (tentative)

Monday - Thursday

  • Request for ideas on new features, applications, and feedbacks from all participants in the Project Week.

Thursday

  • 9:00am-5:00pm: Demo
  • 10:00am-11:30am: Discussion: define protocol version 2.
  • 2:00pm-3:00pm: Tools, libraries, etc.
