Project Description

Objective

  • One goal of the mi2b2 collaborative effort is to create a web-based teaching tool for fetal and neonatal anatomy. The goal of this project is to create a prototype application for this purpose.

Approach, Plan

  • Several well-prepared tutorial datasets exist for 3D Slicer (liver, lung etc.) as part of the NA-MIC training core. Our plan is to transfer one of these datasets to the web using the XTK framework. We created a web-based fetal atlas tool (http://fetalmri.org) and want to now extend this platform with a question catalog. Students could then visually explore the data to answer anatomical questions.
