Key Investigators

  • Katharina Breininger
  • Jay Jagadeesan

Project Description

Preoperative lung CT can often provide additional information about the localization and shape of a lesion. A registration step is needed to simplify the transfer of preoperative planning and enable image guided surgery.

Objective

  • Develop easy-to-use interface/module for intraoperative registration in Slicer

Approach, Plan

  • Evaluate accuracy of different registration methods under time constraint
  • Investigate different approaches for initial rigid registration
  • Implement interface that requires minimal user interaction

Progress

  • Experimental investigation of feasibility
  • Data preparation and script for systematic accuracy evaluation (in progress)
  • User interface approach: landmark + rotation
