1. IRAT/CTSA Joint Workshop March 29-31,2009 in Baltimore

  • The schedule for the IRAT session is finalized but the CTSA sessions are still open. If the consortium wants to add presentations, Dan Sullivan should be contacted. Randy and Valerie will contact him to coordinate the presentations.
    • Randy invited Karl Helmer to attend, he agreed to go and give a talk about multisite MRI acquisition if needed.
    • Shawn Murphy was also invited by the group, he accepted and will give a talk about XNAT-PACS-i2b2 integration on Sunday. Bill and Randy will fill in for the rest of the IT sessions. They will attend Monday and Tuesday.
    • Gordon Harris is available Sunday to Tuesday if his presence is needed at the meeting.
  • The CTSA Imaging Working Group sessions on Tuesday are important, at least one member should attend.

2. Slides for CTSC imaging consortium presentation

  • Valerie sent two sets of slides for the members to review. One is for the Department Heads meetings and is called: Development of Harvard Catalyst Imaging Consultation Service. The second one is for the smaller meetings and is called Harvard Catalyst Imaging Consultation Service. Both used the new template given by Tom Ulrich, Communication Manager for the Catalyst.
    • Members are invited to look at the slides and send Valerie their feedback.
    • Bruce noted that it is important not to send expectations too high, we want to encourage participation of faculty members but they must understand that we don't have a lot of money to give them.
  • Consortium members are asked to gather information on the dates of the Radiology Department meetings.
    • Simon gives a talk at a Faculty meeting at Children's hospital at the end of February and will present the slides.
    • The Division Heads meeting at MGH is scheduled for April 9th.
  • Meetings should be schedule at Harvard and MIT and maybe at other hospitals doing imaging (eg: Mc Lean).
  • A couple of interesting smaller meetings were listed: SPORE (Specialized Programs of Research Excellence), Catalyst meetings with the site representatives, panel discussions at Dana-Farber. Bill Crowley at the MGH-CRC is also someone to contact.
