1. Consultations

  • Imaging 125: Both Clare and Simon were contacted by the PI. Clare asked her to submit a request through the website. Simon will have a conversation with the PI to evaluate her needs for the project and eventually direct her to a group at MIT that might have a post-doc or a student willing to be involved.
  • Imaging 119: Bob Lenkinski will meet with the PI on February 9, 2010. He will help her evaluate her needs and eventually redirect her to the Research Navigators if the help she needs require more work/time that we can offer during a regular consultation.
  • Imaging 107: Simon has a follow-up on this previous consultation. He and the PI developed a plan for moving beyond consultation to a collaborative research project.
  • Gordon Harris has 2 consultations to enter in JIRA.

2. Imaging RFA for junior investigators

  • The Harvard Catalyst Central Laboratory is offering Harvard Catalyst junior investigatorsa one-time award to support batched analysis of laboratory tests at either the HCCL or LabCorp. It would be very important, as we discussed many times before, to be able to do the same for imaging time.
    • We learned from Gordon Williams that the HCCL is using its own money to finance those award.
    • Everybody agreed that we must be able to transfer our consultations in successful pilot grant because it is such a problem for young investigators to find funding for scan time.
    • The group decided to make it a strategic goal for next year. It will be discuss in a further weekly t-con.
