1. Consultations

• Imaging 130: Chloride imaging. It is a request related to Slicer, Ron Kikinis will work with the PI.
• Imaging 131: intracranial EEG in intraoperative MRI: this consultation is for Giorgio Bonmassar from the Martinos Center, he has already started to work on the project.

2. Quantitative imaging reading room at RSNA 2010

• At RSNA 2010, the RSNA is sponsoring the Quantitative Imaging Reading Room which debuted in 2009 as the Reading Room of the Future. The 2010 Quantitative Imaging Reading Room is an educational showcase for products and applications that integrate quantitative analysis and structured reporting into the image interpretation and reporting process. The quantitative imaging showcase will ring together various related efforts to provide visual and experiential exposure to the concepts of quantitative imaging and imaging biomarkers for RSNA attendees. For this purpose, quantitative imaging is defined as the extraction of quantifiable features from medical images. Completed proposals (no longer than 3 pages in length) must be submitted by April 1, 2010.
• Last year Jeff and TIMC both had a booth and it was very well attended. From their experience, the RSNA is looking for particular software package, it works better to apply for a single institution than as a group. Last year the did want just to have tools that were only for research or clinical trials. They also had several vendors showing commercial products in development.
• Randy suggested to propose a Slicer booth that will demonstrate a quantitative tool for radiologist that was developed as a Catalyst effort.
• Jeff and Bill will send their proposal and communicate with Ron to put a submission together.

3. FDA,SNM, RSNA meeting April 13-14

• Our imaging consortium received the following invitation on behalf of Dr Daniel Sullivan: I am writing to invite you to attend a two-part workshop, “Coming to Consensus on Standards for Imaging Endpoints and Manufacturing of PET Radiopharmaceutical Products in Clinical Trials” to be held on April 13 and 14, 2010 at the Natcher Conference Center, on the NIH campus in Bethesda, MD.
• Jeff will participate, out of that meeting we will probably be able to include a lot in our education program.

4. Education program

• Medical Imaging 101: Bruce will give the talk at the Introduction to Clinical Investigation, March 1st. He will used the slides used for the ICI course given by Randy in November.
