Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes March 3, 2009

1. Consultation request submitted through the Catalyst website

• The CTSC It group is designing a web-based tool to track the requests for consultation submitted through the Catalyst web site.
  • A meeting is scheduled Friday April 20th, Randy and Valerie will attend.
• The web-based consultation request form is online.
  • Ron and Gordon suggested that the link to request a consultation is not very visible.
  • They also suggested that a link to the request should be added in the main text.
  • Ron mentioned that all names underscored should be turned into a live link to the person's web page.
  • Valerie will be in touch with the Catalyst IT people to take care of these issues.
• The group discussed the two latest consultation requests.

2. Update on XNAT-PACS-i2b2 integration project

• The group in charge of the project held a meeting on Friday February 27.
  • Bill, Simon and Rudolph Pienard are working on connecting a computer based at the TIMC to a computer based at Children's Hospital Boston.
• Randy had a discussion with Sabune Winkler (Regulatory Affairs Operations Director for the Catalyst)
  • We will get help from Sabune regarding all the regulatory issues related to the XNAT-PACS-i2b2 integration project.

3.Feedback from presentations at BWH and Children's

• February March 27, Clare, Ron and Valerie presented the development of the imaging consulting program to the radiology Staff Meeting at BWH. Annick and Randy also attended the meeting.
  • A copy of the slides is posted on the WIKI.
  • The audience was very interested by the presentation. Several people asked questions on clinical data transfer, IRB and training for the residents.
  • Four Sections Head Meetings will be scheduled. It will give a nice opportunity to get feedback from the audience.
• Simon presented the imaging consulting program to the Faculty Meeting at Children's Hospital.
  • It generated a lot of interest and several questions about the program.

4. Radiology Resident training/education

• There is a demand for training similar to the slicer tutorial offered in November 2008.
  • More anatomical training will be offered during the summer when the new radiology residents come on board. As part of the Catalyst education program, the training will be Harvard wide available.

5. XNAT engineer

• Two candidates were invited for interview. They will meet several members this week.
• After the interviews, interviewers are invited to fill an evaluation form posted on the xythos website. The outcome of the interviews will be discussed during the next t-con.
