* On March 22 and 23, several members of our group participated in the Harvard Catalyst  two-day curriculum, Biomarkers and Imaging in Drug Development that takes a more comprehensive look at biomarkers in T1 translational research. Day 1 addresses the history, regulatory considerations, and development of new biomarkers, as well as their use in assessing drug safety. Day 2 focuses on imaging as a biomarker and its use as a clinical endpoint. Bob was the coordinator for the second day, they cover preclinical and clinical. During the first day people from the FDA and the industry talked about selection, qualification and validation of biomarkers. It was really a good course.
