Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes June 23, 2009

1. Update on imaging consultation requests

• Discussion of the ongoing consultations (Dr Cypess, imaging of brown fat, Dr Rodman, imaging of brown fat, Dr Gaglia, MRI) and new consultation (Dr Pradhan, Vital project)
  
  • The project with Dr Cypess is finished, he is now using Slicer for his project.
  • Charles will meet Dr Rodman regarding the use of Slicer to image brown fat.
  • Bob will contact Dr Gaglia to assess his needs about analysis/visualization of MRI T2 an T2* data.
  • Todd will contact Dr Pradhan to gather more information about the VITAL project and will get report to the group. It is a very good opportunity for the group to be involved early in a multi-center trial.

2. Education plan

• Jeff met with the DFHCC clinical trial office and they are very interested in working with us ton an education program.
• Jeff is also a member of the clinical trial consortium of the Society for Nuclear Medicine and they expressed their interest in building a program to train the technologists on quantitative imaging because ultimately, they are the one who generate the quality of the images.
