* Last week Valerie met with the Education Unit at MGH to discuss the development of imaging basics courses for research nurses and research coordinators. Attendees really liked the idea of offering an expanded (1.5 hour) version of the Risks and Benefits of Imaging course developed by Jeff, followed by a series of 1.5 hour modality-based courses on how to describe imaging procedures to study participants. We also discussed providing information about Radiation Safety Course requirements at these offerings. We talked about running these courses in early 2011 (January?) and that we would offer these courses both here and at LMA.

  • Last week Valerie met with the Education Unit at MGH to discuss the development of imaging basics courses for research nurses and research coordinators.

  • The research navigators sent Valerie a list of all the pilot grant applications with an imaging component and the outcome of the application (invited to interview, funded).
    • She will do an analysis and send the group a more detailed table (modality, level of PI, member of imaging consortium in the applicants list, consultation before submission).
    • We will send PI's a costume email to offer our consolation service. It would be valuable for people who were not funded but also for people who were funded but might need a little more education on their study design, data analysis etc.
