1. Update on imaging consultation requests

  • There was no new consultation posted through the website this week
  • Valerie will create a new project in JIRA for a consultation addressed directly to Gordon Harris

2. Time tracking system

  • The issue of how to keep track of the hours spend on Catalyst activities was brought.
    • Right now there is no mechanism implanted and it is usually not in the academic culture to keep track of the hours spent on different projects. Although, when academics collaborate with industry, there is a time tracking system in place.
    • If the Catalyst plans to implement such a system, they will need to create policies at the top level (senior leadership) and create the infrastructure.

6. Upcoming COC meeting

  • The agenda for the next COC meeting is the pilot grants, should they be divided into different pots.
    • It is a very good opportunity for the imaging consortium to reiterate their demand for pilot grants to fund imaging.
    • Gordon Williams asked the group to send them examples of investigators who, thanks to seed money for scans, where able to get funded and launch a successful career.
