A variety of 3D-Slicer related projects were funded as administrative supplements through the federal stimulus package aka ARRA. These supplements are associated with NAC and NA-MIC. The projects will add capabilities to the 3D Slicer software to enable and enhance its usability as a powerful tool for imaging related translational clinical research. An administrative supplement to Harvard Catalyst will fund a close integration between the I2B2 informatics framework and the XNAT image informatics framework which is part of the NA-MIC kit.
