Harvard Catalyst JIRA Meeting Minutes June 11, 2009

Decisions

• Agreed to put the consultation request forms behind HMS eCommons/Harvard ID authentication.
• Agreed to include verbiage on the consulting page for each program, underneath the “Request Consultation” link that will indicate “HMS eCommons/Harvard ID login required. If you have problems click here” [“click here” will go to a page with details on how to apply for the appropriate login credentials and what to do if you forgot your password and why login is needed. May also include a direct email link to the triage person so that person could initiate a consult through the JIRA backend while the login is being requested, but only if the program wants that. This can be decided program-by-program.]
• Agreed to add NIH ERA Commons field to form. (see example link.)
• We agreed that we would ask for grant information on the webform. (see example link.)

  • Does your program want to have an option (visible on the webform) for your triage person to be contacted if the investigator doesn’t have an HMS eCommons account or Harvard ID? The triage person could enter the consultation into JIRA directly, and if authentication is needed (Seanne’s rules about whether we will need to count the consultation to the NIH), collect it later. This will be in addition to the HMS eCommons login page’s “If you have problems logging in” button.
  • Agreement on the wording of the tooltip next to the NIH ERA Commons question (see example link.)
  • Agreement on the wording of the NIH ERA Commons Instructions page. (see example link. note this page is not complete but the intention is that when you select your institution it will show you a name, email, phone combo to contact for your NIH ERA Commons per a list that Seanne will supply to Britt)

A 5th option to the grant question or possibly a rewording of one of the existing options instead.

Need to draft a proposal for the text below the ‘request for consultation’ link based on response from 1a.) above. This text will also have an explaination of why we are requiring this form to be behind a login.
