1. Consultation request submitted through the Catalyst website

  • 2 web-based consultations requests were submitted so far.
    • The requests were directly forwarded by Valerie to several members of the imaging consortium who have the appropriate expertise .
    • Randy wrote a letter for one of of the consultation and suggested to turn it into a template and put it on the WIKI or xyhtos.
    • Valerie will take care of archiving all the requests both on her computer as a spreadsheet and on the xythos website as a word document.
  • The web-based consultation request form is ready to launch, it will be put live later this week.

2. Presentation of Imaging Consortium

  • The first presentation will be at the Radiology Staff Meeting at BWH.
    • Clare, Ron and Valerie will review the slides after the t-con.
  • Randy will present our group at the MGH Research Council on March 2nd.

3. XNAT engineer applicants

  • Bill interviewed a second candidate on the phone. In view of his background and expertise, the members decided to invite that candidate for an interview.

4. Obtention of an InVivo physiological monitoring system

  • The installation of the ADinstrument physiological monitoring system is going on with installation scheduled in the coming weeks.
  • In the future, there might be a need for a more advanced system like the InVivo one.
    • The need for further equipment such as the InVivo system or coils for multisite should be discussed in regards to funding available through the stimulus package. It will be put on the agenda of the next t-con.

5. Volunteer for the national CTSA educational committee

  • The consortium thinks that it is too early to be involved in volunteering in this committee.
  • The IRAT/CTSA meeting In Baltimore will be a good place to assess whether or not we want to be more involved in the future.

6. Opportunities linked to stimulus package

  • Our i2b2-PACS-XNAT integration system is a perfect 2 years project that fits the requirement for funding under the stimulus package.
  • Annick reminded that the cost for imaging and analysis is a problem, the consortium should find a solution to be able to have money to support investigators.
  • Bob pointed that it is crucial to show that we have the capacity to do pan-Harvard clinical trials.
    • Oncology might be a good starting point because there is a unified IRB
    • Bill will provide the members with a catalogue of the different ongoing multi-centers clinical trials
    • The members will review the list of these clinical trials and choose a relevant one to present as an example of our leadership in the domain.
