2. Education program

  • RSNA quantitative imaging in the reading room.
    • Jeff, Ron and Wendy met and discussed applying for a Slicer booth. The plan for RSNA 2010 would be to have a brand new Slicer tutorial, a improved version of the CTSA tutorial and a booth in the reading room of the future where people would be able to test some of the new tools such as the volume rendering one.
    • TIMC will also send a proposal.
    • Bill suggested that all posters coming from our group should use the same template so they looked connected.
  • Neuroimaging session
    • Charles will be in town for the 2 sessions and is available to give some talks.
  • Slicer hands-on workshops.
    • 4 new workshops are scheduled : March 24 and April 28: Visualization. April 7 and May 12: Registration.
  • CME credit:
    • Valerie received confirmation that the CME application is completed and has been submitted for review on March 25.

    • Valerie is working with the Harvard Catalyst IT team to get the brand new education page with all the new modules and the online registration tool ready for this week update of the website.
  • Coffee break
    • Our budget allows us to offer a coffee break during our half-day sessions.

3. Harvard Catalyst retreat

  • The semi-annual retreat is taking place on March 11. This time it is by invitation only, Randy is the only member from the consortium who will attend.
  • The goal is to define whether Harvard Catalyst substantially contributes to the success of clinical and translational investigators regardless of their career pathway.
  • A few suggestions on how the imaging consortium could improve its outreach:
    • make consulting services more engaging and exciting- have events to stimulate this.
    • Organize Mini summits with cross discipline presentations and discussions (e.g. medical imaging and biomaterials/ biomechanical engineering, medical imaging and nanotachnology)

4. XNAT 1.4 release

  • XNAT 1.4 will be released at the end of the month. The code base will be release next week.
