Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes November 3, 2009

1. Medical Imaging 101.
- The group spent most of the t-con reviewing the slides prepared by Randy and Valerie. All comments about the slides will be added in the final version to be presented on November 5, 2009 during the Introduction to Clinical Investigation organized by Harvard Catalyst.
- The slides along with references will be available on the wiki page after November 5.
2. Education program
- A Hands-on workshop on Slicer is scheduled for November 23, 2009 at the Countway library, room 403, 12-1pm.
- Valerie will have it advertised through Catalyst Central. It will be advertised as a news and also put on twitter. It will also be advertised on the NA-MIC wiki.
- Jeff already has a group of 8 people from DFCI interested to attend the tutorial.
- During this tutorial, Jeff suggested to do a practice run of the tutorials that will be presented at RSNA (PET/CT and volumetric MRI) to get some feedback from the participants.
- Teaching modules
- Over the next two weeks, the consortium will have to work on its budget for Y3. It is important when it comes to justification of time spent for Catalyst that each member gives at least one lecture.
- Valerie will collect all the lectures already existing that can be given first because they require less preparation.
- Stephan mentioned that we should add a section devoted to radiation risks for pediatric, it is a very important subject.
