Harvard Translational Imaging Consortium Meeting Minutes November 16, 2010

1. Consultations update
- We received 2 new requests, one about malignant glioma in mice and another about tumor cell migration across the blood brain barrier in animal model
2. Feedback from COC meeting
- Bruce and Randy received a lot of compliments during the COC meeting. It was emphasized that we are very successful with our consultation service and our education program.
3. Feedback from National CTSA Imaging Group Steering Committee
- Randy reported to the group the latest discussion of the National CTSA Imaging Group Steering Committee. There is sometimes a feeling that the national Imaging Working Group has not accomplished much. Annick and Clare mentioned that the CTSA Imaging groups are productive and that for a lot of the initiative (UPICT, QIBA etc), the CTSA connection was really beneficial.
- This subject prompted a discussion about imaging protocols harmonization and how we must be a leader in the field. We need to continue our effort to push a multi-center trial within Harvard. Stephan mentioned that harmonizing body diffusion imaging is
4. Y3 internal review and Y3 NIH report (report on consultations)
- Valerie is working with Michele Sinunu on the internal evaluation, due by January 3, 2011. The metrics are similar to the ones used in 2010 expect for the mi2b2 project that was not funded yet last year.
5. New Harvard Catalyst Internal website
- A new Harvard Catalyst Internal website will be launched soon. It will have a lot of useful features such as a master calendar, a internal directory etc. Each page will also have its own page (with a calendar) that will be a tool for internal communication. Valerie will be in charge of the administration of the imaging group page.
6. Scheduling of next face-to-face meeting in January
- The group decided that the next meeting should be held at the Countway library. Valerie will schedule it.
