1. Consultations

  • There was no new consultations this week but there a couple ongoing ones, all reported in JIRA.

2. RSNA feedback

  • The feedback from the RSNA meeting was very positive. Both Slicer training were very well attended. The program officer for NA-MIC was attending the one on quantitative imaging and was very pleased with the way we were sharing Slicer with the medical community.
  • Gordon Harris suggested to gather the information about the awards received by Harvard to show how strong the Radiology leadership is. Valerie will collect data with the help of Annick, Gordon and Bob.
  • Plan for next year:
    • Having Slicer in the exhibit area, it will not required extra staffing because there are 3 meet the authors sessions and during the rest of the day, one can have a powerpoint presentation turning.
    • This year Dan Sullivan gave a plenary lecture on the importance of quantitative imaging for radiologists. It is crucial for Harvard to show that we are ahead of the game in that domain. We will offer to RSNA leadership a training package under the quantitative imaging umbrella, it will include material from Simon for pediatric imaging.

3. XNAT demo by Dan Marcus during mi2b2 meeting (12/08/09 at 10:30 am)

  • Dan Marcus from Was U will give a demo of XNAT during the mi2b2 meeting on 12/08/09 at 10:30 via webex, all the members of the imaging consortium are welcomed to join.

4. Final budget

  • Randy will send the Year 3 budget justification to explicitly capture all the Catalyst supported activities.
  • Gordon Williams stressed the importance of getting quantitative data for the different imaging core facilities. When Catalyst is not the only support, we must mention co-sponsorship.

5. Evaluation form

  • Michele Sinunu approved our latest version of the evaluation form. Valerie will fill it and share with the group before December 21, when the first draft must be sent to Laura Weisel.

6. Education

  • On November 10, Jeff gave a talk at CHB Radiology Grand Rounds (link) , it generated a lot of interest, Jeff was asked to send links to his talk and our wiki page. Tedd Travis invited him to give the same talk for the Joint Program in Nuclear Medicine. Stephan Voss suggested to give the same talk at the MGH campus.
