1. Update on imaging consultation requests
- Valerie gave an update on the ongoing consultation requests. All the investigators have been contacted by at least one imaging expert and the collaborative work is in process.
2. Nomination of Jeffrey Yapp as Director of Education
- Jeff Yapp have been unanimously voted Director of Education for the Imaging Consortium. He will be the liaison with Catalyst Central.
- The group agreed that there is an urgent need to build our education program.
- The members attending the IRAT/CTSA joint workshop in Baltimore got good feedback from different CTSA institutions.
- It seems crucial to link the education to NIH funded efforts (eg: K awards)
- Some of the training such as the training modules for Slicer will fit well with the new rules set in place by the American Board of Radiology.
3. Update on XNAT-i2b2-PACS integration project
- Simon and Bill continue working on creating a secure LAN to LAN connection between CHB and the TIMC. The whole team has regular t-con and they are very productive.
- Medicus could be a very good tool to integrate to our project.
- The meeting PACS-i2b2-XNAT integration project on Friday, March 27 was very productive. Doug Macfadden who is the head of the Catalyst Informatics invited us to the next Catalyst IT meeting on Tuesday, April 7.
4. Creation of tracking tool for consultation
- Randy and Valerie attended a meeting on Friday, March 27 about the creation of a web-based tracking tool for consultation.
- Valerie posted the minutes for this meeting: Creation of a web-based tracking tool for consultation requests
- Valerie will contact Maria Cervone of the center for biomedical informatics to ask her if a demo of the new system is available to show to the consortium on Tuesday April 4 during their face-to-face meeting.
5. Preparation of next meeting
- Clare and Gordon Williams will work on a proposal for funding of imaging projects and submit it to the group.
- Gordon and Bruce will present a concept for mini-study section for imaging project.
- Gordon will explain the reorganization of the bioinformatics consult.
- During the preparation of our budget, we must justify all the people working for the Catalyst. We need to prepare the budget for travel expenses, informatics etc.
